“Minding Your Business” Podcast
featuring Resource Brewing Co.
August 1, 2021
On this Podcast, Mark Gilboard and Margarita Guarin from WESST visit with Stephanie Wright, co-owner of Resource Brewing Co. “We always, from the beginning, saw this as being a neighborhood pub. We wanted it to be where people come in, get a pint…sit down and talk. There are no TVs. It’s a place where the only distraction comes from good conversation and good beer.”

ReSource Brewing hits all the right notes with its new in-house food menu
on
Recently myself, Stoutmeister, and a guest ventured out to ReSource Brewing to try their new food menu. Something that should be covered more in our weekly update is what can you fill up on beer-wise, as well, and leave satisfied. A food menu is becoming more and more common in-house at breweries, along with the food trucks, and ReSource prides itself on locally sourced and healthy foods. They aren’t concerned with your typical fried heavy bar fare. As someone who normally eats quite terribly at bars with all the fried foods and gut busters, this really took me for a surprise at how happy we all were with their food options. READ ARTICLE

Unique flavor: ReSource Brewing Co. introduces pale lager with a Swiss twist
A look at ReSource Brewing Co.’s beer list might have you wondering what a Swiss lager is. You are not alone.
The question comes up so frequently that the brewery decided to name it accordingly.
“That’s our quest to make a delicious yellow beer,” co-owner Shawn Wright said. “We use a yeast strain from Switzerland. Classically, it’s an international pale lager, but we just put our own little twist on it. Everyone asks us what a Swiss lager is, and so we ended up naming it Que, Swiss? Lager.” READ ARTICLE
ReSource Brewing Co. opens in Albuquerque’s Northeast Heights
Starting a business may not sound like the best idea right now, but for the Wrights, they think they’re onto something.
“In times like this, there’s really no right answer. A lot of it is just, like, ‘Let’s try it and see how it plays out,’” said Stephanie Wright.
Shawn and Stephanie Wright opened Resource Brewing Co. near Candelaria and Eubank a little more than a month ago.
“And we had a good, you know, four weeks, maybe five, of people inside and outside. And starting to kind of build some connections to this local neighborhood that we’re in,” Shawn said. READ ARTICLE
ReSource Brewing ready to open its doors in the Hortheast Heights
on October 19, 2020
Bright spots are hard to find amid all the gloom of the pandemic these days, but the craft brewing industry in New Mexico continues to move along even under difficult conditions. Any time we hear of a new brewery still coming to fruition, it gives us a small moment of joy. READ ARTICLE
“ReSource is a very intentional name for us,” Stephanie said. “Respecting natural resources, being a resource for the community. Part of that was having people here to have meet-ups, have conversations around beer. That’s why our logo is important, because it shows conversation bubbles around a beer cap.”
ReSource Brewing will remain dedicated to the beer and the community
Knowing what we know now, most of us would have said 2020 was the worst possible year to open a business. Thankfully, Stephanie and Shawn Wright decided to defy that viewpoint to successfully open ReSource Brewing Co. at 3107 Eubank Blvd. NE, Suite 12, in Albuquerque’s Northeast Heights this past October. We caught up with them to reflect on their opening, as well as their hopes for the future. READ ARTICLE
“(Another success) was conceptualizing our Community Beer Project and moving forward with releasing ‘Equality Stout.’ Proceeds from this beer will continuously benefit local charities that promote equality across race, gender, sexual orientation, and physical and financial boundaries,” Stephanie wrote. “This project runs all year long and we are very excited to offer something back to this beautiful state of ours!”
Albuquerque couple takes a chance on opening brewery amid pandemic
on September 4, 2020
While the coronavirus pandemic has shuttered businesses across the state, one Albuquerque couple decided to take their chances and open a business. “This is something I feel like we can be proud of knowing this is our brewery,” owner Shawn Wright said.
Albuquerque couple Shaun and Stephanie Wright call Resource Brewing Company their labor of love. “We made our first batch together,” Shawn said. “We did our very first test batch together here.”
It all started five years ago when Shawn picked up the hobby of making beer at home. “After the first batch, I said that we will never own a brewery,” Stephanie said. “Here we are five or six years later.” READ ARTICLE
“The brewing industry has been on a roller coaster the past few months with varying restrictions, but the couple said they never considered throwing in the towel. “Belief in ourselves,” Stephanie said. “Belief in the economy. Belief in the community.”
